Book Review: Start-Up Nation

Book Review: Start-Up Nation Bon Ami Laishram Start-Up Nation is the book by Dan Senor & Saul Singer. The book was published in 2009 but I have recently completed this book. This is the story of Israel rapid economic growth despite being surrounded by not so friendly neighbours, lack of natural resources, small area size and so on. Israel is the only Jewish state in the world and the controversies follow along. Muslim world doesn’t recognised Israel as a state except the UAE & Bahrain. It’s because the land is under the radars of two different schools of thought. One is being the Jews who consider the land as their divine homeland and other being the Arabs who consider the State of Israel as occupying force. The epitome of Arab world also started secret diplomacy...

Bix explores the controversial roles of the emperor in triggering the war and his involvement in war crimes, presenting Hirohito as a central figure in plotting the conflict. Japan's emergence as a military superpower in the late 19th century, following the Meiji Restoration under Emperor Meiji, set the stage for Hirohito's reign. The rapid modernization propelled Japan into a prominent position in the East, marked by naval prowess and expansionist ambitions. The nation's efficient blend of traditional warfare skills and modern weaponry, demonstrated in conflicts like the First and Second Sino-Japanese Wars, showcased Japan's military might. The Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, where Japan triumphed over the formidable European power Russia, further so...

The origin and nerves are deeply rooted in the soil of India; it’s widely played in many villages in the North and its part of the culture as well. Hockey players during colonial era used to be the sport stars. The Indian Men’s Hockey Team has won 8 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal & 3 Bronze Medals so far in the Olympics Games since 1928.
